Burried alive (another surfing photo)

Sometimes the wave will fold over and cover you up........completely engulfing you......you are being burried alive! It's only temporary though........you come up for air, paddle back out and catch another wave! Surfing is so much fun! This is another one that should be viewed in download mode!

Superb image Brent. I believe you have captured the essence of surfing in this one. It looks like you were fairly close to the surfer, or perhaps you were using a long lens?

As usual, really nice image. I love all the colours in the water. At least you don't have to ask for a model release!

Thanks so very much tbell7D for the nice comments. I have a 600mm lens that I usually shoot surfers with and this photo was taken from the Huntington Beach Pier so I was already fairly close to the surfer. Often times I will shoot in the highest resolution I can shoot knowing that I may want to crop down later in post production and get closer to the subject withouth comprimising quality.

Thanks Jimmy for checking this one out in download mode and the nice comment. I think a lot of the detail shows up better. The subtle colors are more clear too!
