A visit to Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mountain, Maine.

We were staying in Bar Harbor and visited the park and saw some beautiful views from the top of Cadillac mountain. The wind was blowing and the light changed very quickly.
The park is a 47,000 acre Atlantic coast recreation area primarily on Maine's Mount Desert Island. The landscape is marked by woodland, rocky beaches and glacier scoured granite peaks such as Cadillac Mountain the highest point on the United States' East Coast, 1,530ft (387mtr).

Great shots. We were up there about 23 years ago. You could see the tour boats come in to Bar Harbor.
Looking beeeautiful, Sylvia!
Cadillac is tallest along the
coast, but Maine's Katahdin is a mile high and NH's Mt Washington is a bit over 6,200' - all sound so tiny now that I've lived among volcanoes for over a decade - lol.
And also, when you think of the east coast of U.S. it's mostly very, very
flat, just like Florida where I know you have visited, so Cadillac does stand out in comparison
Sylvia, what a beautiful display of fall colors that you are sharing with us!! I enjoyed them all, but I really love the Sand Beach!!!
Sylvia, it's beautiful country in the Summer, Fall and Winter. Spring is another story! Mud, black flies and just plane bad weather. You've captured some of Maine's best!
A very lovely series showcasing a beautiful area. I really enjoyed the opportunity to see these expansive landscapes! I think the last two shots are my favorited.
Beautiful and very scenic! Enjoyed these very much, Sylvia! Wouldn't mind being there!

I can give you directions if you need them.
Beautiful scenes and beautifully captured, Sylvia. The downloads are the icing on the cake.
A beautiful place, and you have taken excellent pictures of it.
