ER, if you want the actual value of that Sears lens, knock of a couple of those zeros!

I was referring to the CANON lens not the Sears version of the 135mm f/2.8 prime lens.

Not sure where you are getting your information, but even the Canon FD/FDn 135mm primes don't fetch that kind of money. Check e-bay prices. A Canon FD 135mm f/2.5 can be found for between $25 and $75, if your timing is good. A Canon FDn 135mm f/2.0 for $200 or less.

May be good to check your sources.

I do check my sources and at the time I was concerned with the numbers (135mm 2.8 as opposed to 135mm 2.0 L). 42nd Street Photo was selling the luxury lens at $899 ($900) from their previous price of $999.99 ($1000). So I was a little surprised at the price difference of the "almost similar" products, except one was a larger Luxury lens made by Canon. I bought the old FD Sears lens for $16.91 plus shipping from Ohio for $8.26=$25.17! I couldn't help but be amazed by the price difference! LOL---really! That much difference in price? And, I don't see where the difference in f/2.8 and F/2.0 would make THAT MUCH difference…...
Oh! Yes, I decided to order the "Photodiox Pro Mount Adapter, Canon FD lens to Canon EOS EF, EF-S Camera" compatable with my T1i/500D. Price:$34.95 + s&h. They were closed for the Jewish holidays but taking orders to be fulfilled after Wednesday. It has glass but, I have read where there is hardly, if any soft IQ. You and Amphoto1 ( I think you called him Allen?) really helped in my decision.
