I like the second one. I guess it's just because I am more of a color girl. I think they are both nice, but to me the purple one pops more.

I like the second one for it's color and background The white on black of the first is a bit stark .

Woo, now I know I need to look into getting my monitor corrected. It looks a little more purple than pink on mine. No offense meant to the OP when I said it was purple. I still like it best, I think it's a great pic.

I like the second one better, partly for the color, and partly because the background is more natural. I'm not a big fan of flower shots with black backgrounds, though I know it's a popular way to shoot, and produces some dramatic results. Just a personal thing with me and my taste.

It was a medium dark pink, but you might have a little color blind causing the problem. Most color blind comes in shades not primary colors. There is a test online that you can google and check that out. I have some problem with certain shades.

I agree on taste, to me I would like the second one better if I had got that result on it also. White is easer to shoot that way on account of the contrast.

Both are nice but #1 gets my vote, composition is better and it is more pleasant to my eye.

Yeah I've looked at that test and I can tell each little tile is a different color. I just did not have the patience to look at each one and compare them and put them in the right place. It's probably my monitor. I think the color settings are off and one of these days I plan on getting the program to get the colors synced with my printer and everything.

I love the first one- it looks a bit sharper to me. Keep shooting, you have a good eye
