Perhaps a silly question but where do you find a shutter click count on the 7200?

As far as I know you do not find the shutter count directly within the camera program (at least in my Nikon D7100).

The way I did last week was taking a shot, download it from memory card to my computer (no post processing at all) and upload it to one of these sites:
http://www.myshuttercount.com/
http://www.nikonshuttercount.com/
http://shuttercounter.com/
https://www.camerashuttercount.com/
There are others on the web.

Some sites support drag and drop function from your file finder/explorer directly to the web browser. And most of them ask you to upload in small jpeg format.
Then it reads the metadata and gives you the shutter count on the screen.

Hope it helps.

As good as B&H is I prefer Cameta. Excellent and reasonable prices with an extended warranty.

Shutter count is not accessible in "Menu" - The following is a very simple software app for shutter count.

The quick check: http://www.nikonshuttercount.com/shuttercount.php

Gives count only; no Exif, Basic Image, EMP, or Composite, information.
Photo size: Will not work on smaller files. My last shutter count was gotten with a 4,743 kb image.

Want Exif, etc.? Go to: http://regex.info/exif.cgi

That was the reason that I chose them. Refurb price with a new warranty made it a pretty easy choice to make.

Just wondering if any one has used refurb from BH tried to reach them they are closed for there holiday which i respect. was going to ask them if nikon did the refurb and if the body D7200 starts with a 0 shutter count. all my lenses which i have from my d3200 all built in motors up to my 11-16 tokina 2.8 will work on that camera body?? Know one of you experts will have some answers too this. Thanks too you all Chuck

I have purchased four refurbs, three from Cameta and one from Adorama. All four specified either Canon or Nikon "Factory Refurbished" and they were all excellent. They looked new and worked perfectly. None had a high shutter count over 100. I prefer to purchase factory refurbs as they have been on an individualized tech bench for checkup. That's better than an assembly line.

Nikon will have done the refurb and the camera will be very close to a 10 rating on a 10 scale. I wouldn't be overly concerned about the shutter count after a Nikon refurb.

I have recently had these experiences with the purchase of a refurbished Nikon D750: The first one was purchased directly from Nikon USA website, it was dead on arrival, would not power up, and there was a dot in the plate mounting screw hole (indicating that it was serviced for a known issue). The second was purchased from B&H website, it is included in the shutter service advisory but has not been serviced, 899 shutter count.

So, in my experience, the term refurbished is broadly used and does not guarantee that it has seen any type of inspection.

Chuck,

A refurbish camera from Nikon has been gone thoroughly by Nikon techs and restore to practically brand new. They don't reset the shutter count but these camera are rated for over 150,000 shutter actuations. That's a lot. if you shoot that much and the camera goes down Nikon will fix it for you at a nominal cost. Your DX lenses will work fine, can't speak for your Tokina.

Hello Rob, Firstly, I have previously purchased a so called refurbished product from Nikon and was totally satisfied. I have no ill feelings toward the corporation.

You have completely contradicted the two experiences in my post. Where do you get your information and how can you substantiate it? Can you explain the two experiences that I recently had while purchasing a refurbished Nikon product? In the event you did not read my post, it is directly previous to yours.

The first D750 body had been serviced and marked too indicate so. Why then did it arrive DOA? The second was sold as refurbished and yet did not receive the service that the NikonUS indicates it is in need of.

If what you stated were true, either of the bodies I received would have worked fine and not needed a further servicing, yes?

No answer on shutter count, refurbished by Nikon usually under a thousand on shutter.Your lenses will work and most early autofocus and ai-s Nikon manual lenses will too (focus confirm in viewfinder).
