Not only is Queen Elizabeth II the longest reigning English monarch, she is the longest-reigning living monarch, after the death of King Bhumibol of Thailand. Victoria's reign became known as the Victorian Age, but "Elizabethan Age" has already been taken. I wonder if her reign will be given a name.

The fall of England.

Lost colonial empire.
Over run by foreigners.
Loss of personal freedoms.

I'm sorry Architect1776...I agree with your first two statements, but what loss of personal freedoms have we lost?

Can you own a fire arm including pistols or an AR-15?
We can.
In Great Britain you used to be able to own a fire arm as easily as here.
There might be a way for some to do so but a few years ago at a pistol match some Brits were in it and stated they had to keep their pistols here in the USA due to issues in GB.
Not sure when the restrictions occurred but you have lost that personal freedom of defense.

Also I understand the foreign issue as GB allowed anyone from any former colony to freely move to GB. Not sure of the details but many moved to the island from places like the middle east and India. My late wife was from Southampton, we were married there with a special dispensation from the Archbishop of Canterbury to avoid reading the bans.
She spoke of these things but not in depth.

Are you aware of the first 2 amendments to the Constitution?
It enumerates rights and freedoms that are God given and cannot be infringed upon by the government. The freedom of speech and to bear arms is not granted by the government but the government is restricted from limiting those freedoms.
Most libs are too stupid to understand this concept and believe it is rights and freedoms granted by the government when it is just the opposite and is protecting rights and freedoms that predate the government and tell the government hands off.
Please study Constitutional history. Something most native born citizens have never done as they are too lazy to learn and understand our founding principles.

The colonies you speak of Architect1776 is what we call the "Commonwealth" and we are part of it, many of these citizens applied for British nationality and were allowed to live here, as were many Britons who emigrated to countries like Australia and New Zealand. As viscount driver said..god forbid the day we are given the "freedom" to own firearms. If your founding forefathers had any inkling of what carnage lay ahead for hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of future USA citizens I'm sure the second amendment would have been radically altered!!
