WOW! Just, WOW!
If the location gets out, the current owners could get rich, with lots of restorers wanting to get their hands on those airframes.
Researchers would have a field day, too.
Thanks.

All very interesting except we weren't flying jets in WWII, that didn't happen until Korea.

The photo essay says, "The planes were assembled by scrapyard worker Walter Soplata in his back garden in Newbury, Ohio, from the late 1940s." That means the collection was started in the late forties, not that the collection only contains planes from the late forties.

And, the P-80 was introduced in 1945, though the first P-80 in the AAF were delivered in 1944 as YP-80s.
So, yes, we were flying jets during WWII, but not in combat.

True. And there are WWII planes in the mix.
Are we really going to argue over this?

Looks like Mom Nature is in the process of reclaiming the garden. Won't be long before these will be a fond memory.

The Germans did. Did that plane have German markings?

In Korea, we began with P-51s.

While the P-51 was one of the aircraft we used at the beginning of the Korean War, it was not the only aircraft we used then.
The F9F Panther was also used at the start of the war.
