Galveston,TX Landscape

We visited Galveston, TX island this weekend and I took these landscape shots at the Galveston State Park. If you recall, the greatest natural catastrophe in US history occurred in 1900 during an unpredicted hurricane on Galveston Island where between 6,000 to 8,000 people lost their life. Galveston, in 1900, was larger than Houston, TX. After the hurricane people moved inland and Houston eventually grew to the fourth largest city in the country.

Awesome photographs....all three; the first is a perfect example of the richness that the golden hour lends to an image!

Thank you for your comments. It is really fun to shoot scenes that have vidvi colors since all you have to do is capture what is already staring you in the face.
