Hello everyone. Found this group a few days ago, browsed through some of the topics, found many of them & their responses valuable to learn from or experiment with, so I decided to join.
I have been amusing myself with photography for 24 years (when my wife bought me a Nikon N2000 for our 1st anniversary). Never took any classes or read any books, just tried to have fun and learn from my mistakes. Was using my Nikon up until Dec 2008 when I decided to go digital. Love digital for the instant feedback, makes learning from mistakes a lot easier. Post processing is also a great tool but I feel many people just use it as a crutch to continually fix their mistakes. After all, Why Learn to do something right when you can fix it later in post. Sorry, but it's one thing to make minor adjustments contrast or saturation, or cropping here & there to improve a photo, it's something else when you shoot a landscape scene and then post processing the crap out of the image, over saturate this, blur that etc. in an attempt to get something decent. That does not make you a good photographer. Learn to use your camera First, then see what post processing has to offer.
Please be honest with any photo I post, you will not hurt my feelings and this is how I learn. Any comment (good or bad) that I can learn from is a great comment.

Btw; my name is Stu (Fawlty is a John Cleese character from one of my favorite British comedy shows from the '70's), I'm from Long Island, NY. now living in Allentown, PA.

Thanks in advance for helping me become better a photography.
