I posted this pic taken sometime back. It was shot on a flip phone by a boy who's father I have known for many years. He sent it to me straight from his phone to mine. They are really poor folks and just got there first computer just a couple of years ago. I don't have photoshopp on my computer. a gentleman on this site started howling about this photo was photoshopped. The guy holding a little boy in his hand wearing red pajamas as his aviator.Anyway I finally got the photo checked out by a film technician at the local MGM studio. He kept it for about a week and determined it was not photoshopped. The building the kids were in is an old 19th. century wharehouse used for storage. There appears to be a small girl standing just below the window in 19th century clothing. Something we just can't explain.

The longer you look and ask others the more little girls, angels and demons you will see.....the fact is it's just a stain on the window where water has seeped in between glass and frame over the years and run down to the floor.

If a plausible explanation is necessary, I'll go with the water stains...but, hey, ya' never know, right?

I agree, it's called "Pareidolia", it's where our brains are hardwired to recognize familiar shapes, faces, etc. where none really exist.

Related to this phenomena is the fact that when staring at an object or shape of a particular color (e.g., red) the brain soon fatigues of that shape and color and begins to reject the image. Remove the image and look at a plain surface or wall and the brain will "see" that same shape but in the complementary or "opposite" color, in this case green!
In this case, the brain recreates the image of the girl against the window after tiring of the extreme contrast between the window and the dark image, almost black.

I have done some work on the picture and I am not convinced that it isn't real and not stains on the wall and window.

Fascinating. I have always been of the opinion that there are things happening around us which we will never see or even be aware of their existence. Not necessarily into ghosts, etc. but as an example last year I was napping at home before going back into the hospital where a friend was to relieve the volunteer sitting with him.

About 30 minutes before I had to get up I woke up suddenly with a faint uneasy feeling. About 2 minutes later the phone rang, it was the hospital saying that my friend had passed on. I asked the nurse what time he had died and she told me ... it was exactly the same time I awoke. Coincidence? Maybe ... or maybe it was my friend coming by to let me know he was gone.

I don't understand what you are talking about,( must be a different picture). The one I'm looking at does not contain anything that would make me wonder if Photoshop has been involved, its just an everyday snapshot!

IMO this is a photo of two young women in front of a window that has a clear or highly translucent plastic film, such as Visqueen, in front of it (note film roll at top of window).

no, your wrong, no plastic in front of window. Just an old building with old windows. Thanks for your reply, Larry

There hasn't been any phenomena validated whatsoever in the paranormal regardless of innumerable accounts for centuries. This includes photography which unfortunately has been tainted with misrepresentation almost from it's conception dating back to Mumler in the 1860's. I'm not a closed minded skeptic because I've investigated well over a decade and have come across some rather interesting occurrences primarily in an auditory form but fact of the matter is, we can't even begin to do anymore than speculate.

You really need to ask yourself, what a ghost is suppose to look like. Many user accounts say they look just like humans and if that is the case, how do you differentiate. Without multiple user accounts experiencing the same event at the same time with a plethora of recording devices used under the premise of the scientific method under repeated successful experimentation, the best we can assume is that it's an unexplained event.

It's simply lack of critical thinking to call something like this paranormal in nature without substantially more proof than a single photograph.

If this subject interests you I'd suggest you look up Dr. Barry Taff who has investigated over 4000 cases in 40 years. The original "The Entity" case from the movie starring Barbara Hershey in 1982 was based upon one of only four cases he deems as truly unusual. Keep in perspective, paranormal television shows are paranormal entertainment and NOT paranormal investigation.

I think they are referring to the faint image in the lower right that extends from the wall into the window.

Then again, I could be imagining something that isn't there.
