Hi all I am starting this a little early as I am having trouble with my new comp, pictures scattered everywhere. Sorry I still can't seem to get it attached to the previous challenge page.
I thought of Benches for Annette for those who knew her you know she loved photographing benches, her other loves were her dog and her motor cycle, Annette was one of the sweetest people on our challenge and she is sorely missed by all, on a brighter note when I see a bench I always think of Annette and hope you will all join me in her memory.
The first bench was so bright and had that sun in the middle so I had to put into a very cheerful background taken at Balboa Park in CA, the next one is at an old Hotel in Nipton was once a famous little train station a lot of stars stayed at this two room hotel, the sun was going down and thought it restful but that's me. the next one was by the beach gave it a little On one treatment to spruce it up a little, and the last one is in the garden of the Mission in CA

Usually, when I photograph a bench, there is someone sitting on it - which is why benches exist.
My wife is a bird-watcher, and our younger daughter came to hate birds, because she had to curb her normally exuberant behavior on our rare family wildlife excursions if Mommy was to have any chance at all to see anything other than the rear ends of distant fleeing birds. We made a number of trips to Pt. Pelee, a Canadian National Park on the north shore of Lake Erie. In this picture taken in 1998, when she was seven, she is impatiently sitting, because it was better for her than not sitting. Incidentally, I entitled this one "Bored on the Boardwalk".
Thought of Annette when I shot this picture.

Beautiful capture, Bobcat. Been meaning to go take a walk out there, just haven't done it yet. Maybe with a new knee coming and cooler weather i'll get there.

Glad to see that someone likes to photograph benches, as I do.
I have a collection of unusual benches, but here are only a few.
