you can create nice picture using simple prog.
I am not an expert photographer, I only have a point and shoot, I enjoy taking photos and I particularly enjoy editing my photos and making collages using Picasa.
It takes some understanding but once you understand how the program works, it is a joy to use.
Great for managing folders and photos, making gift CDs, web albums etc.

Wow, Margaret, that is a pretty place!!
Lovely Pictures. I use Picassa most of the time and have found that it does the job easily and simply. The only time I use Photoplus is to attempt to make entries for our club competitions but even then Picassa does most of the wrk.

I am having trouble downloading videos using picasa. They download OK from a Canon point and shoot but not from my Nikon D7000. The photos download OK. Any ideas?
I always download by the disk and drop it into a folder. I never use one of my photo programs....try that..

Thanks for the suggestion but I like using picasa because it is easy to edit photos and then email them via picasa to my friend. I can download videos OK to My Pictures.

You can still use Picasa, you are just doing one step first before bringing it into your program. I am sure you do this, but "NEVER" work on the original. Always make a duplicte and start playing.
Thanks everyone for your kind remarks; yes Tasmania is a very pretty place. Do come for a holiday sometime and be prepared to spend at least 2-4 weeks by going off the tourist tracks into the truly magnificent rain forests, mountains, beaches, convict sites, wild rivers and cities of yesteryear's architecture etc.etc.
Both are of the City Park, Launceston
A very popular place 10 minutes from CBD Launceston
For technical stuff like that I always suggest people go to Picasa Forum and the top contributors will help you. We are a very happy lot and very eager to help. I answer what I can but leave other problems to the big guns.
