When I bought it as a "rescue" plant for fifty cents, it was a little brown stick. I took it home, repotted it, and kept it watered....and lost the tag telling me what the heck it is!
Only PP was cropping, so this is what it actually looks like, spider
web and all!
Thank you!!! As soon as I saw your reply, it clicked! Until I did, though, it was strictly senior moment!
Your purple one looks like a Rose of Sharon.
It looks like what we have here in the U.K called Raged Robin and is found on the roadsidea and meadows.
This one came from a "buy this today or we'll toss it in the dumpster in the morning" cart at Lowe's Hardware back in January. Being a sucker for the underdog, I bought it for fifty cents, and a gallon sized lantana for a dollar. Both of them looked dead, but then they SHOULD look dead in January, even in the south. Both are doing quite well LOL, but the tag on the salvia apparently blew away in one of the many wind storms we've had and I could not for the life of me remember what it was.
What I love most about both of them is the wonderful fragrance of the foliage that you experience if you brush against either plant.
Can't be the same will try to find one the same. :D
It's a salvia. Once I saw Sandra's reply, it finally clicked LOL. I remembered thinking when I bought it that I had never seen salvia in any color except yellow.
