These three were wandering the neighbourhood eating whatever fruit they could find. They seemed to prefer plums to apples.

Mom looks like she's put on a goodly amount of weight in prep for hibernation - - healthy diet for her and her cubs must abound.

Yes, she does look healthy. Lots of food around for her and the cubs and we have very mild winters here so they should be fine.

Thanks. And you're right, it would be a great title for a kids book. I'm not sure the owners of the tree would be a great fan, however.

Besides, for a children's book, I'd visualize illustrations made from the photos, not the photos themselves - - what do you think ???
