Does anyone have any experience with Variable Neutral Density Filters, specifically the Singh-Ray 77mm Vari-ND Variable Neutral Density Filter?

I made my own per:

I do not have the specific VND you ask about, I have others. I like the VND because I can change ND darkness without unscrewing or screwing-on more ND filters. I still my 2, 4, 8, ND filters in case I want to go darker than what the VND allows alone. VND are good choices and saves money in the long run because buying the 2,4, 8, ND's would be as much or more than the VND. Also the VND gives you more options for darkness than stacking 2, 4, 8 ND's.
I don't have experience with those two. I do have experience with the LightCraft Fader Mark II.
It's about 129.00 for a 77mm and a good VND filter.
Not up to the quality of Singh Ray but very good and a lot less money.
Hi,
I actually have the Singh-Ray trio filter. It's a great filter and works real well. It does take a little practice to get use to. The major draw back is its damm expensive. If you want too check out my images in smugmug.com and type in robeng. Most of the cloud images in Arizona were taken with the filter.
