Staghorn Sumac is a common plant here. It turns delicious shades of pinks, oranges, yellows and reds in the Fall.

Very appealing! Clicking on the pic to view with black background is even better. Love the dots of light and repeating softly focused background.

Just don't let it get on you! Most break out in a nasty itchy rash! I never got allergic to this or poison Ivy; lucky me!Well done!

Thanks Bill. This is not the poison sumac that causes blistered itchy welts. You can make pink lemonade out of the fruit of the Staghorn Sumac. It also has some medicinal uses. Native Americans smoke the powdered leaves. It's used in landscapes too. It's so pretty in the Fall.
