Shot through patio glass door.
Shot was rushed lest it fly away.
Believe it was a red-shouldered hawk.

New year's eve???

You are either very late or really really really early.

Either way, you are off, focusing included.

Your capture by the way could fit quite well in the current white balance thread.

Wow! I thought I overslept again! Since I retired I've had a hard time keeping track of the days, but this sure got my attention!
Anyway, nice bird, but the focus is off a bit. Rushing will do that, but sometimes you have no choice.

Thanks, LFingar. You are certainly right about the focus. In my haste I shot without shutting off Auto Focus and it's 9 focus points and manually focusing on the eyes. I didn't post it as an example of good photography.

A lot of people post photos that were taken months and even years ago. I wonder what you would say about the photos I posted here a while ago that I took when I was in the Air Force stationed at Hickam AFB in Honolulu. That was 50 years ago.

For a rushed shot, it's good, Aeneas! Love the lighting on the bird.
