I mentioned the change from Nikon to Canon and back to Nikon on NCIS. I've been watching "Person of Interest," and they used to use a DSLR with the name blocked. Last week they had a silver mirrorless with a long lens. I couldn't tell what brand it was, though. That's a good way for manufacturers to advertise. I'm sure that camera looked totally foreign to most viewers. Of course, without a prominent name displayed, it's not going to do much for sales.
It will be interesting to see how the mirrorless cameras do in the coming years. Unlike P&S, it takes a substantial financial commitment. They are more expensive than P&S to begin with, and you are limited to lenses made for that brand. I have so much invested in my Nikons that I'm not about to switch.
Didn't NCIS start out with a Nikon D200? I missed the Canon segments (not paying attention to camera). LOL

I could never tell what model the Nikons were, although I did see that CIS NY had the Nikon D3. The Canon was on for maybe two weeks.

Jerry, I looked real close on the older shows, was a D200, don't know if they up graded to a newer camera or if they are sill using the D200. Guess better look again, however, they are in so many reruns all the time.
I will have to view 'person of interest" sooner than I thought as i would like to see what mirrorless camera they are using. Am behind about three weeks with that show :)
If it is micro 4/3 there are a ton of lenses that will fit either the pany or oly without any adapters and a lot of the older legacy lens as well. That is one beauty of the system.
Am using my OMD-EM5 more and more and the d700 less and less. Other peoples experience may vary but I am having a great time with the micro 4/3 system and in fact am taking it on a two week trip shortly. We shall see what happens as I have committed to only taking that camera along with a few lens , all fitting in a nice bag; not a rolling cart that weighs 30 lbs.

I also noticed on "Person of Interest" (We love that show!) that they have the name blacked out. I have even paused it to try and get a better look.
My wife thinks I'm nuts and just wants to watch the SHOW!

Yes, I watch it also, will try to check camera also. Too much going on and I miss some of the small details LOL I never paid that much attention to cameras until I started watching UHH. LOL
I thought the 'new' cam on POI was the new Nikon 1. I think he may have been holding it with his index finger covering the name.
And - does anyone know of a way to watch the previous episodes?
Thanks

Check on line at the website , they usually have previous episodes available, at least for other shows I have missed.

Also have the EM5 and totally agree. The 2 D3s Bodies have been sitting in the drawer. I have 7 lens from Primes to WA Zooms to 100-300 (200-600 35mm equivalent). Getting remarkable results with manageable size and weight. Heading to Stony Brook, NY Sunday with my Granddaughter for NCAA Div I Women's Lacrosse Finals and taking the Oly and a few Lens and a Monopod (Night Game).

It doesn't just apply to cameras.
There's lots of inaccuracies present in movies and TV.
For people familiar with firearms it's amusing how gunfights in the 1870's time frame are using model 1892 Winchesters, particularly the old westerns.
The same holds true with cars and a host of other devices.
At the beginning of "High Noon" there's a town shot that has ELECTRIC poles (not telegraph poles) in the distance at the upper left hand portion of the scene.
I'm not griping, I just feel like I spotted something Hollywood didn't know, and feel like a Sherlock Holmes in my own world. Makes my day.
If you have On-Demand through your cable company, you can watch it. I went to CBS and didn't see a way to watch full episodes, but that should be available. Below is a screen shot from a clip they had available.
