I usually right click on a picture and then click on properties. Then scroll down that list until you get information that you need.

Hey Doc ..... you need to download a EXIF Program first. I'm not on my computer but I'll post a few free sites later.

In the meantime I'm sire someone will reply to this with a few options for ya.

I just went back and checked, my photos are in pc's window gallery and by doing what I posted above, it gives you the f/, 1/2000, and rest of info. I didn't install the EXIF program.

Thanks Gidgette. I knew I'd seen it. I find that the info I want is not with an edited photo but on the original that it came from. Now all I have to do is remember that.

For some reason, when I click on properties and it opens, it is automatically on detail tab already. Yeah.

That's what I do, no need for anything else.

If you have a Canon it came with Digital Photo Professional. This will give you full EXIF data. I assume Nikons and other makes have something similar. Bring up the shot in DPP, then go to File> Info.

Mike, I believe at one time you said you were using Elements 10. If so go to Windows > Properties, then click the Metadata button at the top of this panel (a blue circle with a white "i"). This will display the EXIF data for the currently selected image. I don't use 10 but I believe you can also set up a panel that displays the data.

Easiest way, especially when asking for advice is to include both the original and the edited version, clicking on the "Store Original" box when submitting them. Then those looking can look at that detail.

It also comes with Canon's Zoom Browser under Properties. R click on the image in the main window. A limited set is available in the image viewer - dbl click on the image in the main window then View and select Shooting Information. This stays open until toggled off.

Hi, I found that my images did not contain all the exif data, so I found the following site on line, it's safe (Norton tested) and you simply download and it allows you to put a short cut on your desk top. I've just tried it and it's really easy to use, hope it helps, here's the link:-
