Importing video into picasa 3.9

I am having trouble importing video files from my D7000 using Picasa 3.9. All the photos import OK but the videos do not. However, my friend has a Canon point and shoot and it imports OK along with her photos into my Picasa files. I need help.
The videos import OK if I use "my pictures", so I must be violating some Picasa limitation. One of the videos has a 16meg file size. Could that be it?
