Welcome to Day 141:) Today we are going to take a look at Parenting Perspectives. I had planned to go out and photograph parents with their children to show how they interact with each other .. for examples .. but .. still no camera for a couple more days. These examples are the best I could do from my archives.

The day Sara-fawn was born.... its amazing that she stood in just 20 minutes.
Parenting Perspectives: They do change. I have been experiencing 'role reversal' the last few days while being in Saint John's Newfoundland with my eldest child, my daughter. Its rather touching in that she looks after me: when crossing streets, she takes my hand, she helps me up hills and stairs(The city is full of them). She saved me from a fall yesterday on a boat when a rough water situation caused the boat to zig when I was attempting to zag and the seat I was aiming for moved from underneath me. This trip was a very special occasion for her at a books award ceremony and she had asked me to accompany her. I was honoured. It was a proud moment for me she was given a special award. Everyone applauded my daughter, and I was there too to bask in her success, it was wonderful!! We went on a boat tour yesterday hoping to see and get pictures of Atlantic Puffins. her stated goal of the trip was for her Mom to get a picture of a Puffin. Yes!, and I did! a delightful little bird!

I originally posted the first pic on another topic but would like to share it here. This is a male golden-fronted woodpecker (on the right) feeding its offspring. He would go to my feeder and get suet to take to feed the little one.
The second photo is a male and female brown-headed cowbird. Their parenting skill consists of laying their eggs in other bird's nests.

I was not sure what this challenge was all about so here is my contribution.
Still gone from home, but borrowed X wife's computer. Just a couple of my grandkids and family at my son's funeral yesterday. Will head home today.
The two youngest were my son's daughters, his third daughter didn't make.
All but two of my grandchildren.
Grandchildren and my kids, plus a few extra.
Here's mine for today, I have lots of these, my favorite subject to shoot.

Wonderful shots Loguey. I am glad human children don't stand up in 20 minutes. We need the time to prepare, store up the energy and hide the do not touchables.

Nice shots and wonderful examples. I guess I was not thinking outside the box when I selected my images.
I really like the photo of the mother walking with her childre... but the cake shot is the best... you can see that that child his child takes after his grandfather. have a great day and keep shooting those kids.
