White-lined Sphinx Hummingbird Moth

I was out working in the yard this morning when I spotted this Hummingbird Moth in the flowers. I was so excited as I have never seen one before. I ran in the house, grabbed the camera and started snapping pictures. Hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Very nice! Good catches. Those things are always on the move and make it difficult to get a decent photo. Thanks for showing these.

Sorry if I step on your toes, (or Moth), but I just took a picture of a moth yesterday, and I think it is the same, but he was sitting still. Hope you don't mind me posting it to see if it is.

Hi Mike.
Sorry but not a Hummer Moth. When you see one you will think it is a Humming Bird. I don't have my book to look yours up, gave it to a friend months ago. :( Guess I have to make a cal !

Sorry but the moth in your pic's looks like the elephant hawk moth , great shots all the same :-)
