Your still lifes are always favorites, Carlysue. Wonderful illustrations of simple elegance. Your skill with color, composition and lighting always provides inspiration and information.

What a wonderful thing to say, John. I am truly honored, thank you. I can certainly understand your need for an LOA, but you are sorely missed. But given the choice of photographing the grandchildren or posting your unique, artistic images, I'd say, Family First! go for the grands!!

Travesty (Randy) does some amazing still life images and he makes them look simple. What I know is that in this photo genre you have total control over your light, your composition, background, colors...its all on you. And if its unbalanced, uninteresting or missing impact, well that's on you, too! Travesty did a still life image not long ago, Uncle Al. You got to know this character by a few well chosen objects that represented "Uncle Al". I thought I'd give it a try, see how much one could learn about a fictional character with just a few objects.

I appreciate your comments and encouragement so much,Redrocks. Your landscapes and vista images of the west are so stunning. I really do need to learn better skills at composing landscapes. Your's are inspiring. Thank you for checking these fictional still life stories out.

Thank you so much,Sylvia, for looking, leaving such kind comments and for the smiley, happy faces. I love them! And taking the time whilst on tour of the New England States. So much to see, I hope you make good use of every moment. And miss the hurricane as it comes up the coast. Still life sets are fun, challenging, frustrating, and once in a while you get one that you feel is post worthy, carries a bit of impact. Thank you for enjoying these.
