What can I do about the line that looks like it is etched just at the top of the vase from a sunny day.
Can anyone advise?
Shading to remove the (very small line like) mirror reflection of the sun. You could use window screen to allow some diffused light thru. and/or Polarized filter may help.
It also appears that you have "fuzzy edge syndrome" but this may be a result of downsizing that occurs with posting. If not then that edge becomes a sharpening issue.
I don't see any CA, only reflections. Also check your histogram, the lip of the vase is blown out pretty badly

Zoom in on it and clone or heal it out. That cane done on Photoshop, and I resume other serviceable PP software.
If you speak nicely to the cup and have some coffee with it the cup will be willing to pose for you again. This time with as MT Shooter said, less exposure, even with less exposure the cup will surly be every bit sensual at breakfast as it was the first time.
Less exposure, polarizing filter, move the light or place of shot, shading the light... etc.
