Does anyone have this camera yet and if so give us some feedback please?
You may wish to carefully compare the RX10 Mk III with its Mk II predecessor - lower cost (now) and faster optics
Ralph,
Thankyou, I have the Fz1000 but the extra reach is tempting me.
Jim
The Mk II is the choice I was nudging you toward despite the greater reach of the Mk III. Have you noticed the large number of UHH members (and non-members) who rushed out headlong to embrace longer and heavier lenses only to turn around and sell those lenses, for whatever reason
, in 5-6 months? Sometimes bigger is not always better.
The Sony RX10III Bridge Camera with a focal length of 600mm and a 1" sensor, is the best Bridge Camera you can buy at $1600. I've seen excellent images from this camera. The Panasonic fz1000 is a close 2nd place at 400mm focal length, and less expensive.
I have it, love it and highly recommend it if you need/want the reach. I walked and carried it for 5 hours on Sat with no problem at all.
I just spent two weeks in Italy with it and other than getting used to some exposure quirks -- I'm a canon guy-- it was a super camera fir the trip. The extra reach was a big plus.

Got your point the first time.

Wow. 6 threads in a row with the same message. That's a real filibuster.
