A few pics of my regular visitors the past week. A lot of my feathered friends have left for the warmth of the south but a few regulars are still here probably for the winter. In another month or so I will wish that I was also "winging it" in the same direction.

Very nice collection... I like the temperature out but don't care for what is coming and the lack of feathered friends...
Very nice. And, thank you for including the common names of your critters. It really annoys me when people take pictures of birds and don't put a name to them.
A nice series of our backyard bird! One thing though, the first Pileated is a female.
Thanks Larry, Jeep Daddy and Dennis for taking a look at my backyard friends, tis appreciated.
Alas, Dennis, you are quite correct in my mislabeling of the Pilley. No red moustache to be seen, tis a lady. Too many pics and poorer eyes here. I've been blessed this year with two families of these characters visiting my yard, one pair with twin boys and another pair with a single daughter. So I've been feeding suet to a total of 7 of these which means a helluva lot of suet (homemade) has been dispensed.
Again, thanks loads for looking.

Ron, these are fantastic captures of your backyard visitors!! Every one a winner, love all the details!!
What a beautiful series and loved every download! Thanks!
Very well done series of close up Captures!
What a great set of photos!
Many thanks to Angela, Bob, Swamp-cork and Carol for your kind words on my pics. I appreciate the thumbs up.

Beautiful set - it seems pretty rare to get such a good close photo of a pileated woodpecker! When living in Maine I could never attract the pileated woodpeckers to my feeders - the hairy and downy woodpeckers always came. Good job!
Very nice set, close and sharp!
Gorgeous set of photos, Ron. Very sharp details. I love the goldfinch, they're my favorite.
