Thank you

I use Sena Bluetooth headsets in my motorcycle helmets. Various models have different ranges. The set I use has a range of around 900 meters (about half a mile) and they have built in FM radio. Most of these units are designed for helmets but the set I have for my shorty (half) helmets would be easy to mount on a good cap, or you could go for the headphone style that can be worn under a hat. The Sena S3 and SPH10 models are both headphone style headsets.

FRS (Family Radio Service) radios with VOX (voice activated) headsets. Look them up on Amazon, Google, or Ebay.

I actually have a set of FRS radios with VOX headsets. I used them before I got my first Goldwing. I even mounted a push to talk button on my Kawasaki Voyager to use with them. I found the Sena headsets to be more convenient but the FRS radios use AA batteries where the Sena headsets recharge from a USB port and of course are lighter and there's no wire running from the headset to the radio. The FRS set up was less expensive.

In that case, opt for the Plantronics 955...same set up, but wireless.
