Hello my fellow UHH's,

I'm looking to expand my horizons and start photographing the heavens, I'm sure I came to the right place...again.

I would like to use a telescope and attach my Nikon to it. I've also heard that this can also be performed with a spotting scope. Do any of you HG's have experience with the above mentioned methods?

Thank you,

I photographed the moon below recently with my Canon 5Dsr+Canon 100-400 II+Canon 1.4x III. Hand held.

Thank you, James. If using a tripod will give you a good photo, then go for it. Especially photographing through a telescope means
one must use a heavy duty tripod.

I have a spotting scope I use with my Sony a7ii. I have an adapter. Here is a shot at max zoom which claims to be 4000 mm.
