Nice to look at, but special effects can be so similar that they become mass-produced-looking. I suggest to go ahead and play around, but spend most of you time looking, at things and inside yourself, to discover uniqueness.

PSP has so many interesting effects and worth examining. Your samples of how to have fun with photography is what brought most of us amateurs into the darkroom and now to photo editing software. If all we need is a recognizable photo we merely take our disk to the photo booth at Wal-Wart. Love you birds of paradise.

Appreciate your comment and I agree about the mass-produced-looking aspect and that's why I experiment with combinations to create as pleasing an image as possible.I only have the tools I have.If or should I say when I finally figure out how to use Layers and Selections I believe that will open up so much more in helping me create better art.
Aloha

Good point, learning layers & selections. Doing that allows you to apply filters and other manipulations to things already filtered and manipulated, and, pretty soon, you have your own favorites and "look." It helped me to create just one layer on top of another, and then run through all the possibilities in the drop-down menu of the "Layers" tab. Good luck, and Aloha
