I love photographing animals.
In this series of pictures are animals I shot on small road trips to, my family furbabies and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo California. I'm looking for CC good and not so good. I'm trying to better myself as a photographer. I still have a lot to learn. Thank you

Thank you. I use to have a cat named Sheba. She was a all black cat. Cats are my fav animal. I 💜 them

You asked for constructive criticism, and I'll try to give some. These aren't bad by any means--and the tiger shot is nothing short of fantastic--but most could be improved with some small changes. The horse, for example, is too dark. His face is lost in shadow. Fill flash would solve that problem easily, as would exposing for the dark area, rather than the light. Or if you know how to post-process, you can lighten the darker areas, particularly if shooting .raw files, rather than .jpegs. Generally, too, you don't want to cut off a standing animal's feet, if you're doing a full body shot.
The dogs aren't bad, both are nice and appealing, but again we have parts cut off, a bit of the tongue in the first, and the left ear in the second. Sometimes you can get away with that, but mostly they're better if everything's included. A longer lens would help deal with that apparently huge tongue in the first dog shot, or backing off even with a shorter lens and not cropping quite so tightly would also solve that issue. I myself usually lighten eyes a bit in post, but that's personal preference. The other comment I would make here is be sure to get your focus zeroed in on those eyes. Sharp eyes make or break the shot. For a snapshot, no one cares. For a really good headshot or close-up portrait, tho, get those eyes! Even if everything else is fuzzy, get those eyes and you'll have a good shot. These are close, but not perfect, especially if you check them on the downloads.
The rabbit looks more like a domestic variety rather than a wild one, but that's just an observation, not an issue. But like the horse, he appears to be missing his front feet. Might just be in his position, feet underneath him, but a wider crop would tell us for sure. It's not a rule, but in general give an animal room to 'breathe,' as it were, or a little room around them in the frame, unless you're doing a portrait/head shot.
The action shots of the birds are quite nice, and the shot of Peaches is really cute, if perhaps not quite as sharp or well-lit as we might like. Action shots you get what you get, and if it's amusing enough, like this one, that's enough to allow a flaw or two. But a greater depth of field (a smaller aperture or f/stop) and faster shutter speed would have given you a little sharper image of his face. But that also means better light/flash is needed. I do like the motion we can see with his leg and paw, so here's a case where not having perfect sharpness can be forgiven, as it implies the action of the paw batting at the remote, which is a laugh and makes for a very fun shot.
Overall, they're all nice images, and again the tiger is absolutely amazing, definitely a wall-hanger! But remembering the little things like including feet and nailing those eyes can make the difference between great animal shots and just okay ones.

I totally get what you are saying. On the dog shots the one with the tounge snipped in the cropping. I was trying to photograph Missy. She kept scooting towards me. That was the best shot I got from her. I was wanting to snap pictures while they were wanting me to play ball. Lol
The Rabbit was in a yard behind a mesh fence. So yes domesticated. It sure was beautiful.
The horse, I was at a distance from it. Where the foot was cropped off, there was a wire fence in the way of the full shot and I was also above the horse.
My cat peaches playing domino's was taken with my cell phone.
I sure appreciate you taking your time to help better me. I'm still learning the F-stops, depth of field. I shoot in Raw. Each picture I take, I mess with the settings. I sure wished I could understand them better. I'm getting there.
I shoot almost on a daily basis.
I will be posting more portraits but of my daughter next. I need CC.

Our Sheba looks part Siamese with dark brown feet and ears and blue eyes.
