Here is a situation I am now in with Henry's of Toronto, Canada, and Nikon.
I ordered and paid for a refurbished Nikon D7200 on September 3, but Henry's sent me a refurbished D7100 instead. I immediately called them on the phone and told them what happened and they insisted that Nikon was at fault because Nikon had mislabeled the box and misidentified the camera when they sold it to Henry's. However, no one at Henry's bothered to inspect the contents of the box before they sent it to me. As of today, September 22, we still don't have this worked out, and Henry's is taking no responsibility for the screw up whatsoever, although they are going to send me a replacement when the wrong camera gets back to them. So far the camera has been enroute to them for 14 days, but that is another story.
So beware of Nikon's sales regarding refurbished items. You may not get from Nikon what you are expecting.
OK, you have me confused. You were dealing with Henry. You purchased a Nikon item from Henry. Henry sent you the incorrect item. Henry agreed to a return of the item and it would be replaced by the correct item.
So, why the ominous warning regarding Nikon?
Second question, what does your package tracking show as the location of the returned item?

1 - Cancel your payment if on credit card or Paypal. If you used any other mean you are basically screwed.
2 - Who or whatever Henry is it is doing the screwing. They successfully placed the blame onto someone else since you believe them.
3 - The en route-thing is pure BS. When I send something back I always have a tracking number. If you did not do that you are screwed again. (All by yourself)
4 - This has nothing to do with the manufacturer but with the 're-seller'.
Time to sing the blues.
I had money
I coughed it
I had a camera
I have excuses
I have no money
I am sputtering
I have no camera
I have no excuse
I wish I had kept my money
I wish I still had low blood pressure
I wish I had a camera
I wish I did not need no excuse
Sing song that one with a broken down guitar and you are ready for Nashville.
You beat me to it and I am not nice.
Nikon mis-labled the box and the camera in the box when they wholesaled it to Henry's, or so Henry says.
Henry says it was all Nikon's fault. Thus my warning re Nikon.
The location and tracking of the camera is not essential to my note re Nikon's careless packaging of refurbished items.
BUT I can say I have been using Nikon products for 50 years and have had no problems with them whatsoever, but I have never purchased a "refurbished" Nikon item before.

Do you know for a fact that Nikon "screwed up," or do you only know what Henry's told you?? There's obviously a problem here, but it doesn't appear to be with either Henry's
or Nikon!
Okay, here's another thing. I sent the camera back USPS Priority and know where the camera is...but I did NOT get Priority service. The camera is somewhere between Richmond,BC, and Toronto, on day 14. I expect Henry to get it this weekend or early next week. That is, after 16-18 days of travel. At that time, Henry says they will send me the correct camera and refund me a part of the $50 I spent sending it back.
Henry says i should not have sent it back Priority as if I had a choice. Truth is that USPS insisted I had to send it that way because it weighed more than 4 pounds. Since I was in no position to fistfight with the USPS clerk I paid the $50 to send it back.
The only problem I have with Henry right now is that they did not inspect the box before they sent it to me.

As the intermediary it is Henry's of Toronto's problem to deal with. Henry's screwed up in this, Nikon may have as well - possibly not - but Henry's needs to deal and be accountable for what they sold.
So if the problem is not with Henry or Nikon, where does the problem lie?

The problem is with Henry's and they seem to be dealing. You did business with Henry's, so they own the issue for not sending you what they committed to send you. As for USPS / Canada Post, if Henry's had any decency they would eat the cost, since it was their error and you are inconvenienced. They're losing much more from this discussion than a few dollars on shipping.
See the discussion that MTShooter started about B&H. He got his panties in a bunch over a minor issue that B&H is dealing with, and is damaging his own reputation much more than B&H. He just hasn't worked that out yet!

You for not checking the re-seller reputation?
Seriously you do not seem to know what the hell you are doing.
USPS clerk gave you grief? What the hell? You are THE CLIENT.
Henry's sent you the wrong camera. Place the blame where it lies.
Seriously, you do not know what in hell YOU are talking about!
Lessons to be learned here.
1. Do not trust camera stores who do most of their business online.
2. Do not send anything to Canada USPS Priority unless you don't want it delivered in less than 2 weeks.
3. Don't get into discussions on photo chat lines with rude fat heads.

Which of us "You's" would that be, pray tell!
Perhaps all of us!
