SP Tamron 150-600 VC F/5-6.3 with VC & Nikon mount. Also has lens caps, hood, and B+H 95mm 010 UV Haze UV filter.
I've used fewer than 10 times, original owner. Takes very good photos, I also have a Nikon 200-500 I want to keep. Asking $800, will mail to
anywhere in USA. It's in excellent condition.

You do realize that the list price is only $1069 and they are already taking pre-orders for the version 2?

Thanks Robert,
My lens used at Adorama is $990, the filter is $85.00. The G2 is going to cost $1399.
So I don't think my lens is unreasonable. If you're interested, please make me an offer.

Good luck, if you get your price I may try. I have the lens for my Canons. If the new version is enough better I may trade up for that extra 200 mm above my 100-400L, though the 100-400 with the 1.4X III almost equals it at 560 mm with almost no loss of IQ. It is just the 100-400 is easier to haul around and hand hold.

I've been thinking of purchasing the 1.4XIII, so I guess you really like it.

Do you also have Canon gear?

When teamed with the Canon 100-400L the 1.4X III causes almost no IQ loss. There is a list of Canon lenses it works with, the only one I have is the 100-400L (Today I picked up a 100-400L mk II so I either give my old mk I to someone in the family or sell it I guess.) The others I don't have, don't want or can't afford.

I also own two Kenko Pro 300 extenders, 1.4x and 2.0x. The way they are made they will work with almost any lens. Some they work well with and have good IQ, others not so much. The 1.4 works very well with my Tamron f/3.5 180 macro, the IQ is good. So with my 6D I get 252 mm of reach and with my 7DII I get the view of a 403 mm. Works great for humming birds and others at the feeders and butterflies etc on my plants. Just sit in a chair still and quiet and move slowly and smoothly to take pictures when they come near. When it cools off a little I have a hunter's popup blind to use in the yard near the feeders and plants and that should work for the ones who won't come just when I sit still. I am not dumb enough to sit out in the So Calif sun on days over 90 inside a dark camouflage pattern tent.

I was going to use the teleconverter on my Nikon 200-500, it's supposed to be compatible.

I just checked, your 200-500 works well with Nikon's C-14E III 1.4x teleconverter, however AF only works reliably with cameras capable of f/8 AF. Even with bodies that have to manually focus it has good IQ. This according to Photography Life's review of the 200-500.
Nikons that focus at f/8: D7200, D7100, D600, D610, D750, D800, D800E, D810, D4, and D4S.

Can you tell me which tripod head you're using in the pic? Thanks.

I'm using the RRS BH-55 full size. I like it a lot. It's a little heavy, but smooth and locks down securely. I used it before I acquired the nest gimbal
and got some very nice shots of a great blue heron in flight. I think I was a little lucky!

I also had the RRS BH-55. Expensive, but I've never regretted it.
