Fawn in high grass. I was walking in a field of high grass, looking the other way. Heard something, turned around, saw nothing at first, then it moved a little. The wind was blowing a bit, hence moving grass.

I like this shot of the small deer lost in tall grass on the download, but there is a HUGE difference between the download and the version that shows up on the post which is very dark and dull. That can sometimes be from color space, but perhaps others factors as well. UHH does not play well with any color spaces other than sRGB, though the downloads in other color spaces often look better than the thumbnails.

Is this a crop already? If so, I won't suggest cropping further, but it may be one where you wished you'd had a longer lens handy. I always seem to have the wrong one on the camera no matter what.

Taken, I think, about 5 maybe 6 years ago. Yes I have noticed the color discrepancy on UHH, shows bright on my screen though. I can't remember if it was a crop, probably a small crop. Taken with a 17-85mm or 70-200mm I did not check the data.

Just after I took the photo I saw the mama, she was not in a good mood so I made a hasty retreat to the truck. Tried to get a photo of mama but she was moving too fast. (towards me!!!)
I never thought I could run 3/5 of a mile in 10 seconds!!

We mothers are like that, one should always beware of messing with our progeny!

With the color problem, it is a way UHH has of displaying that is the issue. The first photo I posted on UHH absolutely horrified me, as UHH turned the bright oranges of Mesa Arch a sickly dark green color. The culprit was the export color space. I work in ProPhoto RGB or Adobe RGB which are larger color spaces than UHH can display. So I have to export the jpeg I intend to post here in sRGB for the colors and brightness to resemble those on my monitor.

Looking to the rear of the deer, hiding in the grass, is that's it's rump or another? S-
