Their similarities or their differences?

Both, but I was initially charmed by their similarities. This is a very engaging shot. Thanks for posting!

I have to say their differences at first, the first thing that I noticed was their differences in size but the second thing was similarities in noticing their expression and then dress and so on.
Good capture. Same expressions is what I saw.

Differences. Size does matter.
Thank you all for responding. It's interesting to see what people initially respond to. Personally, I notice their sizes first, immediately followed by their postures. It's tough to say which is truly the first thing.
From their faces I wondered what was happening before them and out of sight.
Noticed differences first and that being size.

As I recall, there was nothing of any interest going on.

That does kind of stand out.
I also notice the difference in size first, then the similarities of post and dress. I like this shot a lot!
A really neat photo! I guess I noticed their differences first, especially the size, then I zeroed in on the similarities.

Voss,
I noticed the similarity in their sitting positions first. Then I noticed the difference in their size. And now I believe I am thinking there was a difference in their race.
A very, very good photo . . . and it told me a little about myself as to the order of things different that I noticed! Apparently I am not a racist - just a photographer!!! Thanks very much.
Best Regards,
Tom
