Photo contest - I won!

I frequently enter our local paper's weekly photo contest. They pick the subject and you enter the appropriate picture(s).
Yesterday's subject matter was called "CROWDED". I entered about 4 pics that fit the category and waited to see what happened.
Their photographer contacted me via email and said my pic was in consideration and she wanted to know the specifics of the picture. What camera I used and where the pic was taken, etc. I emailed her back with the info.
Sunday's paper arrived and I checked the section that contests are in and lo and behold, mine was it. Put a little lift in my day that's for sure.
I included a screen grab of the article for you to see. I also included the original pic that I posted. Plus a couple extra from that day.

Tom, is your last name Mr Hitchcock? OR, ..do you own that chicken farm? Just kidding and congratulation ...first, for the contest vining and second first for having a good luck with that bird army.

Congratulations Tom - well deserved. Reminds me of that old adage: "a million ducks can peck you to death". My old boss used to repeat that on occasion when some problem became his "millionth duck".

Thanks, Donna. I must have sent 40-50 photos to the newspaper over the last 3 yrs. I would even send multiple pics for the category. This time, perseverance paid off. It was fun!

Thank you, TriX. You should have heard the noise they made at take off. It was the proverbial "freight train" sound.
I'm just happy they weren't overhead, if you know what I mean.
