Where's the Logic

I was watching TV earlier and a commercial came on for an E-cigarette called Logic. First thing that came to mind was, that's not very logical. Text in the advert mentioned added nicotine. Nicotine, one of the most addictive drugs there is, and it can be obtained by children easier than beer. NICOTINE, a substance with no known medicinal properties, a substance that is refined for one purpose, to get people addicted so the tobacco and E-cigarette companies can take as much money from people as possible. Marijuana, or cannabis if you will, a substance with multiple proven medicinal properties, a substance that is not physically addictive, is illegal in the eyes of the federal government and still, most of the state's. It's OK to market products like tobacco that has been proven beyond the shadow of any doubt, to be detrimental to most users and the public in general, products that make the wealthy shareholders even wealthier, at the cost of individuals health and at a substantial cost to the taxpayers, but it's illegal for my wife to purchase the only known medication that truly helps improve her quality of life, just because some ill-informed zealots back in 1936 made a stupid movie.

I am not a user but I agree with you. While in the Army medical corps half a century ago many doctors were saying the exact same things you are saying now. There are many factors working against you. Political and economics. Don't forget that Mr. Environment Gore's wealth is/was (?) tobacco based and the funds to support tobacco lobbying at the expense of MJ are almost limitless.
