The NZ native pigeon - The Kereru. Having a feed on the tiny kowhai leaves. First time I have managed to get the shot of him/her in reasonably full view.
Pity about the dreadful grey sky.
Would appreciate any help on changing the sky please.

Excellent shot. It looks like a big, plump pigeon--I've never seen one before (big enough for the pot, maybe?)

About 650 grams Earl. Funny you should mention the pot as these birds are totally protected AND a vert senior Maori
Elder was convicted for shooting 4 of them. Of course he denied it and the case dragged on for over a year. After all the media hype and high expectations had died down, he got some home detention.
