A most peculiar Cow

I was out for a walk the other day at lunch time and I came across a most peculiar looking cow. Looks like something I'€™d have seen strolling around the streets of Chicago a few years back. It'€™s also a good example of how high noon on a bright sunny day and glossy white don'€™t mix well.

That might be the poster cow for Eat Mor Chicken.

Maybe this is the origin of the song--"I'm An Old Cow Hand"

I see that you caught a nice reflection, too.

Looks like someone was a "handy man". Lovely painted cow. I've seen painted (with paint as well as the natural) horses in New Mexico and painted moose in Park City, Utah. And I think I might have seen some from Chicago but they had their heads up. I do like this one, though.

He's really neat, rmorrison, and you captured him well! I like his reflection in the window, too. He reminds me of Bucks County's Miles of Mules, which are each decorated in a different way!

There's a charitable organization called CowParade that sponsors the largest public art exhibition in the world. It started in the USA in Chicago in 1999 and events are held in different cities around the world. They all feature hand painted cows. The cow in the photo came from the 1999 Chicago exhibit; it is number 148 of 300, each one painted differently, and its name is HANDsome cow.
