I have a2 year old Panasonic Lumix fz 200 that suddenly quit working. The on/off switch does not work as if it has no power. I tried 2 fully charged batteries without success. I would appreciate your advices. Thank you, Shang

This was on the Panasonic camera web site:
Customer Care
Phone (Consumer products) 1800 103 1333 / 1800 108 1333
Phone (Business products) 1800 419 0373
Email helpline@in.panasonic.com
If this does not work for you I would contact the placed purchased or look for a camera repair business.

Good luck as I have the same camera.

Compare the price of repair to a new camera or a refurbished model

Hi Ralph: I got the camera fixed by getting the answer from a tech. It needed reset of battery circuit by removing it and hold shutter for 1 min and wait for 5 min before reinserting. The phone #s are not working but the E mail add is working. It cost $19. Thank you for you help. Shang

Appreciate the tip. I have this fantastic model as well. Now should this crop up I will (if I remember) know what to do instead of pulling my hair out!

Hi Shang. I have an FZ150 camera; therefore I am interested in your solution. When you state you reset the battery circuit by removing IT. Do you mean you just removed the BATTERY? When you hold the shutter button down for 1 min. are you saying then that this is being done without the battery? If this is so, then it is just physically depressing the shutter button for the 1 min., then waiting the 5 min. to reinsert a battery and then turning the off/on switch back on? Did I miss anything, or is this what you meant? Thanks for your response. Stan

Trust me, this is not just a Panasonic problem. Nikon Bridge and compact cameras encounter the same problems.

Shangyrhee, I was NOT the one who chimed in quickly with an answer. The person who actually HELPED you was a very nice gent from New Jersey with the UHH User Name of "Orca". You might consider thanking him here or via a UHH "PM" message. Glad the problem got solved. /Ralph
