Finally found the problem i was having with this camera. Problem was that it would not read telephoto lens. Kept on getting error message that the lens was not attached and i should remount lens when it was on tight.

Sent camera into Sony repair and the lens mounting was replaced with a heavyer mounting bracket. Now i can attach my larger 500mm lens without getting an error message along with great autofocus. Glad i sent camera in for repair. Thanks Sony for a wonderful job well done.

Yes i did took about three weeks to complete turnaround.

I guess I was lucky, if you are talking about the 500 MIRROR lens, not the f4 lens, mine mounts and shoots normally. Have not experienced a problem, have also shot the Minolta 600MM f4 off the A77II without a problem. Maybe I got a GOOD copy.
