It appears that Tamron, Sigma, and Tokina are not the only third party candidates in town. I discovered this Laowa 105mm f/2 lens is sold by B&H. Not very expensive, not cheap either. Would I buy it? I don't know yet. I already like my one Sigma lens, along with other DX lenses. I have never known about this lens until today.

IMO, This lens would be best utilized on a mirrorless type camera with EVF ( Sony A99/A77II ) and focused at taking aperture ( to expedite things) using focus peaking among others.

The cameras you listed are not mirrorless cameras!

For the purposes of my conversation, they are ! ........ie they act like and do what a mirrorless camera does regarding continuous EVF viewing and focus peaking/focusing.
