There have been some fantastic photos posted on this site. However very few indicate the equipment used.
It would be great if those posting photo's would list the camera, lenses etc used

Most of them do! Not if it is just the thumbbail, but if it says that a "download" is available the image you'll get usually has Exif data. That will tell you everything...

I use this site http://regex.info/exif.cgi to determine camera, lenses and settings for those photos I want to know more about, if the posting OP checked the "download" button.

And if you are using Windows Pro (7 or later) all you need to do is right click on the downloaded image and select "View Image EXIF Data". Unless the photog has specifically chosen to not upload the data, you should see what you want to know.

The OS doesn't really make any difference in that respect. Windows, Mac, Linux etc... it's the browser that does that. Most of them do fairly well, though the displayed Exif data is rarely complete. The big problem is with browsers on cell phones, which don't have that functionality.
That said, if this is important the best way to view complete Exif data is to install exiftool written by Phil Harvey. It is updated often and is by far the best Exif display program available.
(And odd note, but perhaps it's worth saying: Exif is not EXIF.)

Of course you are correct regarding "Exif". I do use "exiftool" upon occasion to add data from within LR regarding lens properties, but find the right click method for viewing quicker and most of the time contains all the information I'm interested in. I added the comment regarding the OS as I was not sure if other versions would permit the same access to the exif data when right clicking (in the File Explorer/Picture Tools). Since I similarly use Firefox 99% of the time, I was not aware of the browser dependency. Thanks for filling in some more gaps in my knowledge.

I have been using Photoshop Express to do most of the PP, and when I right click on the image, it displays a panel giving the specifics. How can I copy that to post with the images?

It would be even greater if those pictures were posted in the Photo Gallery or one of the other sites intended for the actual posting of pictures!
