Decided to combined some of the photos I have taken in the past . The woods is part of the property I use to own when I lived in the country for my first 59 yrs of my life . I know it looks that way , but I can assure you it is touching the ground . Maybe I should of put some grass or weeds sticking up past the foot some . Thanks for looking .Tommy

Added some weeds in front of his toes to make him look like he is touching the ground .

The coloration is perfect ...... looks like a natural light source. The only thing that seems a bit off is the scale ...... judging by the thickness of the trunks of those trees, they are fairly tall. Which would make the bear have to be truly monstrous (20 feet tall or higher) to appear so large against the trees. If it were mine, I'd try to resize the bear a bit smaller.

The trees are around 40 ft tall , and the grizzly stood 9 1/2 ft tall when I took the photo . I will take what you said in to consideration Bob . Thanks for looking ,Tommy

Would the bear by chance be a mounted specimen? The eyes don't appear to match the rest of the attitude, a fault with a lot of mounted animals.

There are a lot of YouTube tutorials on blending two images. What is missing are the shadows. It's not one you can see boldly but faint and around the edges especially around the feet. It helps to merge the two images to the eye and creates depth. I would move him out of dead center closer to the reddish tree and that other bear in the back ground. I agree with Bob he looks to big for the scene. I mean you have a nice concept there but I think it's a rough draft to a nice composition.

If you download and click to enlarge you cam see where the bear has black and green round it, needs to be cut out a bit cleaner... Good idea though like robertjerl I too thought of a stuffed bear as it does not look to be attacking but friendly....

I disagree with the bear looking too large. The only perspective on size is the relationship of trees to bear and the size of the trees cannot be otherwise known. And, an adult grizzly is really huge, especially standing.

I find the blue colored branches (at least I guess that's what they are) distracting and would eliminate them.

Really enjoyed the photo and am envious of your editing abilities.

Nice try at merging one photo with another. The colors are good for most of the picture, they seem natural. The Bear does blend in with the background, but that is how they live in the wild.
The blue caste branches are distracting and may have been reflections from a cleat blue sky in the background photo. These could be corrected in PP of the background image.

The Bear picture shows a dark outline from the selection to copy, save, and merge operation. More attention to carefully selecting the Bear would reduce the appearance of the selection. A selection with Inside Feathering can reduce the selection mark.

Not a negative point of view. The Bear looks like a specimen from a museum of National History.

Keep on working on these photo merges, it is the best way to learn,

Not something I have tried yet, so will not comment on the blending. But I will say it is interesting, the bear is a big bear, having seen them in the wild, I know that first hand. Great looking forest in the background.

Shades of Bev Doolittle! Did you intend to add the girl/girls faces in the right background or were they just a coincidental aberration. If intentional that is truly great, if accidental that is amazing also.
