Here is an image I took at night late last year. It is the little church I attend in Mount Airy, NC. I worked this one up but was never happy with the results so I am really interested in seeing what all of you can do with it. I am adding the link to the RAW file as well.

I took into PS Express on the iPad and the "quick fix" button did bring out a little more background detail and maybe lightened the church a little. See result below.

I do like the tweaks you have made Rich. I am curious to see what others will come up with as well.

Part of what I immediately liked about the SOOC jpeg was the ethereal quality of the light on the front of the church, and especially the steps, an invitation to enter. I really wanted to try to keep some of that, but, well, here's my take using the raw file, done entirely in Lightroom CC 2015.6.1, which I am still learning but feeling more confident daily. I would have liked to have straightened it up a bit but the crosses were too close to the top and I did not want to try to add since I've never done it.

When I processed this image in Lightroom I did not get the overall brightening that you have given it. I like this.

Wow, dumb as it sounds, I didn't see that coming. To me it has great balance, I really like it.

It never really crossed my mind to take it to B&W. I really like it.

I like the church to begin with, but it's fun to see the different pp work that others have submitted.

It's one of our best experiments, and is very educational, so feel free to jump in and join the fun with one of your edits! S-
