I might have posted a shot of this truck last year in case it looks familiar

Photo'd and processed this one today, ultra-wide angle. Strengths, weaknesses, suggestions? I tried cloning out the pole on the right, but I like the balance with the other. Edits are welcome.

Thanks so much for your time.

Wouldn't change a thing. If I were thinking of cloning out a pole, it would be the power pole on the left. The other one is a telephone pole and perfectly in period.

I love this truck. If I had photographed it, it never would have occurred to me to do what you've done. It's ethereal. One of the best things about it is the box of petunias (whatever) on the bed, still with faint color. A lot of people don't like selective color, and I think it can be abused, but not in this case.

There is no light like back light.

I love the weeds under the front wheel. I love the shot.

Interesting you mentioned the poles Linda. I would remove the big one on left as the two do seem to dominate for me, and me eye went immediately to them. Lovely picture though, a good strong image. I assume you have a full colour version; if so, I wonder what it might look like with about 80% desaturation? Certainly plenty of mood and character in this one

Nice composition, Linda I like the repetition of the verticals (poles and cab) and circles (tree to the left and the tires) which makes this really an interesting shot. Good one! I do think the poles help rather than hurt the image, and I myself wouldn't get rid of them.

Thanks for your feedback, Paul! I have the raw file, didn't work up a "finished" color version yet, but will give that a try. I appreciate your time and suggestions very much.

Linda, this is a beautiful photo and well composed. I would take out the object on the far left next to the pole and allow the photo to be framed by just the poles. Either way...great job!

Linda, I like the two poles framing the truck! And, it might be good to take out the object next to the pole on the left, as was suggested. This is very interesting and I love the color on the flowers in the bed. Lovely, if you can call a truck lovely! Ha!! You did a lovely job on the PP, how is that.... TG

Thank you, TG! It was fun working on this one. I will try that incision of the tree, for sure. Glad you enjoyed!

I agree about the tree on the left, but with or without it, I love this image, the antique feel with a real antique as the subject.

I looked at this one for a long time. I thought about downloading and trying an edit. I could not, however, think of a single thing I would want to do. (Other than clone the left pole out and maybe even the tree). The glare at the top of the cab and in the sky was, at first distracting; but then I could imagine this truck in the dust bowl and it started to look more and more like something right out of The Grapes Of Wrath. Keep it like it is. It is wonderful.

I'm very grateful for the time you spent thinking about this image, Erich. Thank you so much.
