Looks like a couple of Good Ol' Boys with some Good Ol' Toys.

Those look like maybe some old (1940's or so) washing machine engines. What I'd like to see more of is the contraption on the right, with a belt drive to a bicycle wheel that is driving the chain and what used to be the foot pedals, but what that is doing is hidden.

Nice shot, jaymatt. Good composition and coloring. The guy on the right looks like he's afraid he's about to be told it's a $200 repair job.

The one on the back, the one that wouldn't keep running, attached to the next one by a belt (lying on the table) that ran the next one up that became a can crusher. You can't see all the mechanism because of the open toolbox lid.

Rube Goldberg would have been proud of these guys.

He does, doesn't he? He kept offering suggestions, but none of them worked, and I never could figure out which one of them owned the thing. These guys were at the Matthews Covered Bridge Festival in Matthews, Indiana, Friday afternoon. I stood and watched them for about twenty minutes while my wife was shopping in a Vera Bradley trailer. I considered my time spent much more wisely than hers. She didn't buy anything, but I got some photos.

That's pretty much what I thought, but I didn't say anything.

Its a conundrum!!

That is funny," I couldn't tell which one owned the thing!" Ha! You could have looked to see which one had $$ in his eyes...

Well, they both had the same concerned look, so . . . .
