When you shoot nudes, it seems there are several reasons: personal photos and models who do this for a living or to expand their reputation. My question is: given the propensity of things to end up on the internet, do you have different releases for nude photography for different purposes, or have a check-box stating that you will not publish private photos online, in a gallery, etc? I would think a lot of folks would be reluctant to pose these days.
I have a release form that a) states that I can use the images for any purpose and that the model can also except that they may not be sold, nor used in any other commercial form. If a model does not want me to post on my website or place the images in an art-show, I will not spend my energy photographing and processing them. If, as has happened, I have a request to photograph someone nude, she must either pay me for my time and work, or, if I want to use the images, she must may compensate me by signing the same form. I do provide, on the form, the option of the model using an assumed name, stated in the release.
