A spot of furniture testing

After having some built in furniture installed under the careful supervision of Norman, the cat who runs things around Billyspad, he has decided to undertake the testing procedure himself. He has also decided that the creases in my pants would look much better if treated in a more abstract fashion so has decided to multitask as only Norman can.

The pose is quite nice, the background uncluttered, the model exquisite and obviously confident of his looks and modeling skills. The freckle on his nose is an especially attractive feature. However, Norman is not quite sharp in all the places where he oughta be, it doesn't seem, might try a smaller aperture. Also, there is a greenish yellow tone to what I'd guess are his white areas.

You are fortunate to be in the employ of such an excellent cat. (Dogs have owners. Cats have staff)

I can see the tone being a look achieved if your intent, but I'll have to agree with minniev on aperture.

You are indeed correct here min but bear in mind what we have here is the Devil Diva of the feline world. One has no time to adjust camera settings with our Norm. It is a case of point and shoot whilst he complains his hair has not been brushed and then before jumping down from where he is he screams "image rights" and quickly goes out to look for the stray black and white female cat who acts as his adviser confidant and lawyer. I believe Norman wishes it was also a love interest but Mrs Billy's insistence his nuts be removed some time back does not make for anything other than very short term female interest.
A far from perfect image but hopefully a reminder to all not to invite a cat into your life unless you are prepared for a life of subservience.

The tone Frank is indeed a move away from my normal procedure on Normans insistence of course. Aperture see my reply to min but you are correct. I believe W C Fields felt the same about working with cats as he did about children and I fully understand his viewpoint.
Thank you for dropping by my friend.

Indeed, "elegant pose, uncluttered background, exquisite model obviously confident of his looks and modeling skills," plus we now know that Billy is tall and slim (34/34) and I for one am insanely jealous!

Seriously, I am not that bothered by a little softness; it is sharp on the eyes. The way I was trained a portrait need only really be sharp from the tip of the nose to the eyes, and while it is a full-length portrait I find it sharp enough where it should be. There might indeed be a little color cast, not too bothersome. I like it very much. It is a portrait of a cat being a cat. Cats indeed have staff!

I fully understand the constraints of photographing your employer when he/she is observing your every move and finding fault with your clumsy efforts.

I displayed the nice image of Norman on my screen for Herself to see, and she posed in her favorite spot for a reciprocal shot of her own with selective focus, though the background is much messier in Herself's office. She wanted me to post it back to Norman here, but I explained the niceties of forum behavior and that requests must be made and approved or such might be considered hijacking.

Aren't fur friends wonderful. They tend to help in numerous ways.

After some thought Norman has approved Herself's request and is now looking forward to running his eyes over her feline curves.

Herself is not as elegant as Norman, but she is unaware that her dumpy figure and her missing tail inhibit her sex appeal. This is how she whiles away the boring task of supervising my photo work. Had I not blurred the nearer portion of this characteristic pose, the image might well have been moved to that new Naked Lady section. But she feels sure Norman will appreciate her robust feminine charms.

Norman is knocked out by the charms of Herself and insisted on showing the picture to Mrs Billy who will not allow him to sit on the couch like that. He is citing deprivation of his civil rights and threatening legal action. How did Herself know Norman was a butt guy? He has stars in his eyes and is now consulting websites checking fares to the US. It maybe some time before he accumulates the fare as of course he will only travel first class.
Please tell Herself to avoid the Naked Lady section. It seems to attract rather strange types who I would not trust to babysit my female dog let alone a stunner like your sweet lady.

Herself is glad Norman appreciates her voluptuous charms, as she finds him quite svelte and alluring. She would discourage him in his legal actions, as suing one's own Staff can come back and bite one in one's own furry butt. She appreciates the warning about the Naked Lady section, though she has heard somehow or other that Rubenesque figures such as hers are appreciated therein -does Norman have a private email account? Might Norman and Herself be sharing cat-ly communication back and forth across the seas, undetected by their Staff?
