This was taken at The Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg, TN. I used my Canon SX50. The shot is through glass and water and handheld at 1/15 sec at ISI 1250 so it is not the sharpest photo but interesting nevertheless.

Same situation at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. Very dark. High ISO, slow Shutter, wide Stop. And I'd suggest using a slightly WA lens (35mm on a FF, 24mm on a APS-C). The many I've shot are mostly soft too. Though for some reason mine have much more color saturation and contrast. Likely more due to different lighting in the tanks than equipment used. I get pretty much the same with Cell Phone as DSLR with my JellyFish shots.

Nice composition. If only you could have instructed them to be in a group of 3 or 5. Keep at it.

Nothing wrong with having a little fun. I've attempted shots like that myself. You got a good one there.

How far is this from Knoxville? I'll be in Knoxville in October for dog shows and might be interested in this if I have free time.
