Hummer in my back yard with my new Nikon D500

I saw this little lady visiting some wild flowers in my back yard... So I went and got my new D500 and a camp stool and waited. I was not disappointed, I think these are the best hummer pics I have ever gotten. This camera is amazing, the auto-focus is so fast and accurate I can hardly believe it. I am so happy with this new camera! :)
These are at iso 800 f6.3 with my 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 ED zoom, the camera was set on aperture priority. Only thing I have done to these photos is bring the exposure down a quarter stop, otherwise they are straight out of the camera, they have not been cropped either.
You may want to look at the downloads to really appreciate this little bird and the camera.

Great Sequence and capture. Some super sharp wing images.

Thanks for the kind words. I was pleased with how the wings came out as well, especially the second one. It's at that split second when her wings were full forward before coming back.

You may have proved that the D500 represents a new high level in photography!

Looks like at least 350 of not 500th of a second shutter speed. Auto Focus looks to have done a great job. Number 6 down is the winner.

Thanks! That's my favorite too. It's the desktop image on my computer now. ;)
